Protein requirements

The notion that you must consume 1 gram for every pound of bodyweight per day is unfounded. Too much protein taxes the liver and kidneys, and acidifies the blood.


The function of creatine is primarily cosmetic. Creatine bloats up muscles by filling it with more water. It could add up to 10 lbs. of additional mass. Many marketers exploit this supplement and claim that you could pack 10 lbs. within just one or three months, without mentioning how creatine played a role.

Preworkout supplements

Milk or juice is a good preworkout supplement. Pretty much anything high in sugar is a good preworkout supplement.
