Legit thread. Of course not many people will embrace anti-natalism because that goes against all the bullshit you hear everyday and natural instincts.
Here is an excerpt from Jim Crawford's "Confessions of An Anti-Natalist" which really sums up the entire concept:
“Imagine walking in the desert, and finding an inanimate rock. This rock has been here longer than any human has walked the earth, and will remain the same until the earth ends. You are given the power to grant this rock the ability to eat, and therefore feel hunger. What do you do? You hope the rock will surely enjoy the finest foods that man has to offer but, at the same time, you know the rock will spend most of it’s time hungry, and eventually, when food runs out, it will suffer and die. Endowing the otherwise inanimate object with hunger (i.e life) is surely a terribly immoral choice, as if you had left the rock alone from the beginning, and had not put it into a state where it needs food to be happy, it would have been better off.”
LOL @ not being antinatalist

Good thread.
The vast majority of sentient beings on earth experience more pain and suffering than anything else.
All life on earth should be destroyed.

Unless you're religious/spiritual, then anti-natalism makes no sense whatsoever.
Nihilism is a self-defeating and, at times self-refuting, philosophy.
If your personal demons don't allow for you to have children, then fair enough.
But you can't possibly extrapolate your personal beliefs and apply them to random people who don't share these beliefs.

Anti natalism and nihilism are completely different.
We cant force people not to have children but they ought not to. You've pretty much just made your own set of rules in which if you don't impose life on someone else you're self defeatist, a set of rules in which someone may greatly suffer. Its also incredibly obnoxious of the parent to think their child is going to be as dumb as them and not see life for what it is.
Its a cheese chasing game and nothing more

Nihilism is absolutely the precursor to these certain beliefs.

You're purposely going out of your way to ignore everything posted in this thread, lets get back to the points brought up which you ignored
Why do you feel procreating is worth it and why do you think its fine to gamble with another persons well-being?
