All of the names synonymous with genius are men; Einstein, Newton, Tesla, Da Vinci, Darwin, Hawking, Galileo, Dirac, Feynman... the only female that comes to mind for scientific endeavours is Marie Curie.
Women always claim they don't have equal opportunities in STEM but that's complete and utter bullshit. They just don't want to go into intellectually demanding fields where they are responsible for actually coming up with results.
Because of the fact there is a wider distribution for men on the IQ scale (i.e. more retards and more geniuses), is it also just down to a matter of more men being able to function comfortably at the high-end of mathematics/science?
