at some point this type of economy will fail, people spend only when they have money coming in, if you have a lot of people who cant get jobs and live on welfare, you have a population that is only surviving (buying basic things like food rent electricity)
most corporations would die out
but it would obviously take a few decades before we reach that point
right now it is only new immigrants that are driving economies by buying the latest laptops, smart phones, TVs, cars, etc...
when was the last time you bought any of those things? long time i assume
