Great thread, this perma bulk thing is insane. Guys going from skinny to fat and destroying their looks in the meanwhile. The average guy 5'9-5'11 should aim for 175-185max lean and cut with a tan. Rest is mental masturbation.

All of them would still get their ass handed to them by a proper amateur MMA fighter or boxer in their weight classes. Mariusz Pudzianowski is an athletically gifted, functional strongman with top-tier conditioning and even he gets beat by middle of the road fighters.

The average powerlifter is more or less out of shape and unathletic (not all, but many) relative to other types of athletes. They would gas in a fight.

Very true but also very obvious.

However the vast majority of lifters would destroy average guys in a fight.. eventually (unless they're absolute shit at fighting or if they get very unlucky). almost everyone in the population is average at fighting which includes lifters. But the strength difference would show after a minute or so into the fight.

I'd say 200lbs...

But for every one of them, there are hundreds that aren't and chasing a carrot on a stick that just have god awful genetics. It's just like anything. This guy has been competing since 2008 I believe and I don't think he has squatted 405 yet. Weighs in the 240s. Only the best can actually make a living off of it with a couple exceptions like Jason Blaha

Yea I mean it's just a hobby anyway. People want to make so much money so that they can pursue their hobbies, do more shit etc. End of the day the goal is to have fun and enjoy your time. If that's lifting, then who cares? It can be lifting, it can be traveling, getting drunk, getting high, having sex, fapping, skydiving, working on a car, playing soccer, and so on.
Doesnt matter what you do if you enjoy it since that's the ultimate purpose in life.

From my success (and growing success) in lifting, it is enjoyable to do something that only ~1% of the population could ever achieve if they pursued it. If you do make it to the top, win, set records etc it can be an awesome experience. Meanwhile other guys are at the bar or on pornhub

Agreed. I still lift, I just have more of a focus on getting stronger, healthier and more conditioned all around - not just the big 3. I just wonder if these youtube guys promote unhealthy lifestyles and aren't great role models for lifters. I think Candito, Ben Rice and Mike T are pretty good role models, they all seem like well-rounded guys and they have good form, healthy and don't abuse drugs. Brandon Lilly is a lot more shady and had pulled off unremarkable shit in the past

I mean hell, I used to look up to so many of them and mentally made powerlifting/getting huge my #1 priority in life... and it was just stressful, made me more reclusive and led to permanent injuries from pushing the envelope, and fucking up my endocrine system in the process. I also gained tons of weight and got uglier as a result and then had to spend the time shedding it off with just so I would look presentable.. In the end I was basically back to where I started  .

I think you're misinformed about facial bloat. It can be controlled with anti E's and sodium reduction. These things are going to vary from person to person.

It's safe to say though stay away from wet compounds, run your anti E's, and don't eat out or eat processed foods on cycle(you shouldn't anyways to minimize health risks on cycle - esp Anti E effect on lipids).

All those guys you posted are poor responders to gear.

At the end of the day it's genetics above all else like anything in life.

Yea honestly if you're lifting a lot it's best to stay lean... if your genetics allow for a sh*tty diet while also staying lean/healthy then go for it but otherwise gotta keep everything in check.

What's lilly done? cliffs? I know the basics on him and have met him but nothing beyond that.

My post about them being able to beat up pretty boys was a joke. That's the mentality a lot of hyper-masculine men have though it seems, they can't stand the fact that a guy they think they could beat up would be sexually attractive to women.

There's nothing wrong with lifting if you enjoy it.

Just don't think for a second that it will improve your chances with girls. In fact it will often do the opposite.

While you're in the gym, the skinny hipster with the handsome face is at the bar hooking up with hot white girls.

For me personally it's helped immensely but that's because my body REALLY stands out (and im not overly bulky either) for whatever reason. But yea its helped a lot, and the chick's reaction every time when my shirt comes off makes it all seem legit.

physique competitors like steve cook are all on tons of shit

tren, mast, test, etc. on top of tons of other drugs to combat sides

they keep their hair thru genetics and other shit
their faces look good

they dont blast test tho,

just hop on ru, stick to dry compounds and nothing will happen to ur face or hair

George leeman genetic trash? his genetics are 1 in 100000000! he could pick up the fattest fuck on this forum and toss him 10 meters.

i'm an 18 year old virgin i cant breath chew or sleep i have constant head aches i'm bullied by my family i'm ugly as fuck and everybody would be happier if i ate a bullet

Powerlifting will thicken your neck and raise your T. And the confidence of knowing how strong are will benefit you in your day to day living. Lifting is masculine, healthy and positive. It will make you feel much more confident as a man. Don't listen to these fucking retards saying lifting will make you look worse. Just don't abuse drugs and don't go full retard bulking.

I rarely see 8+ guys with immensely jacked bodies. Most 8+ guys are just lean and don't really workout that much. They just have great facial aesthetic, leanness and good height.

Good thread, good OP post. This is a good reminder to not take gymcelling too seriously. Lift minimally for an ottermode body and don't expect to get more without steroids. Don't think lifting will add points to your L.

gymcels are cringeworthy

the only way to aesthetics is sports + targeted gymcelling

i was into faggot weightlifting several years ago. deadlifts, squats, benching, overhead press. all it did was make me a fat fuck who thinks I need 4k calories a day. now I weigh 175, eat 2k calories a day and do fitness workouts all the time and my body looks much better. still incel though.

Thing is that these guys are better off doing what they're doing than had they not been. Even george leeman implies this by saying that "why the fuck would you abuse drugs if you have other priorities in life?"
