But for every one of them, there are hundreds that aren't and chasing a carrot on a stick that just have god awful genetics. It's just like anything. This guy has been competing since 2008 I believe and I don't think he has squatted 405 yet. Weighs in the 240s. Only the best can actually make a living off of it with a couple exceptions like Jason Blahahttps://www.youtube.com/user/herc410/videos
Yea I mean it's just a hobby anyway. People want to make so much money so that they can pursue their hobbies, do more shit etc. End of the day the goal is to have fun and enjoy your time. If that's lifting, then who cares? It can be lifting, it can be traveling, getting drunk, getting high, having sex, fapping, skydiving, working on a car, playing soccer, and so on.
Doesnt matter what you do if you enjoy it since that's the ultimate purpose in life.
From my success (and growing success) in lifting, it is enjoyable to do something that only ~1% of the population could ever achieve if they pursued it. If you do make it to the top, win, set records etc it can be an awesome experience. Meanwhile other guys are at the bar or on pornhub
