Why democratic socialism is illogical

Democratic socialists believe that achieving a socialist society could be done through using the tools of the bourgeois in a capitalist country. The fact is it's simply not possible through reform alone, the powers that be would never allow it. The necessity of a revolution is clear.

I'll add, pertaining to the US, why do you think everything is slanted right?
In truth liberals are hardly the left. Like the conservatives they support capitalism. Liberals are not allies to socialists.

Liberals are social democrats, and weak ones at that. Social democracy might be sustainable for some decades in some countries (e.g. scandinavian) in a fairly stable global system (e.g. the post-WWII system), but eventually it will fall to the fascists, unless a countervailing vigorous and as you say revolutionary socialistic force comes into play.
