They care about humanitarianism more than the intellectual/ logical consciousness which is imposed from fact/ reason. That in of itself should be evident that this civilization is utterly doomed. Without logic you wouldn't differentiate scissors or a saw being better for cutting a tree branch. Or if you should sleep with your wife or with a roach. Humanitarianism takes precedence over any imposition of logic you can talk about.
It's become a rolling wrecking ball. Like for example if you say that the Qur'an has a TON of violent verses in it then you'll wanna make a factual statement, and if you do you'll offend someone. The reason society is going for compromise rather than fact/ logic right now is just economics. The thinly veiled cynicism of allowing free/ positive trade at the expense of letting us have a quality discerned civilization. And it will indeed bite the rich in the ass.
The rolling wrecking ball doesn't have an opposing physical force to reverse it, and so all thigns will be squelched under its endless rampancy.
